Our high-performance floor coating, Floor-It, provided a tough, bright new bodyshop floor at busy East of England vehicle repair specialist, The Bodycentre Ltd. Find out more about this quick-drying, semi-gloss floor paint, which transformed their workshop floor and had the team back to work in a matter of hours…

A major automotive repair shop in Norwich, the Bodycentre works on around 60 vehicles every week, providing a wide range of services from bodywork and structural repairs to paintwork refinishing. With their workshop floor in need of an update, they were seeking a floor coating that would achieve the durability they required, but with a quick and easy application process.
“After some trouble with other floor products in the past, we decided to speak to our local paint supplier, PaintWell,” says Jake Masters from The Bodycentre. “ After much discussion about our previous attempts to renovate the floor with no great success, they advised we should try Bradite Floor-It.”

A team of The Bodycentre’s own staff – including technicians, managers and one of the directors – got to work on applying the Floor-It coating. “The application was very straightforward,” says Jake, adding, “the recoat time of one hour was exceptional. It took us around a day to prep the floor, but once this was done and all necessary items were masked up, it took just under ten hours to apply all three coats.”
Floor-It is recommended for light to medium-traffic areas such as factory walkways and general shopfloor usage – especially in projects where speed of completion is a major consideration. Thanks to ambient crosslinking technology, this water-based acrylic floor paint creates strong adhesion to the surface and is extremely durable on concrete, wood, metal or asphalt surfaces, as well as polyurethane, epoxy and chlorinated rubber floors.

The Bodycentre staff were delighted with the results, with Jake explaining, “it makes the workshop floor look so much brighter and cleaner. We are over the moon with the final finish.”
